ORDERING:

Unfortunately due to the “made to order” nature of our shelves, all orders are a final sale. You do however have 24hrs after placing your order to message us with any changes or cancellations.

Not at this time, but if you’re local and want to stock some of our shelves, please send us a message!

Just due to how much time is invested into creating a new design, we do not take custom shelf requests. However, if you’re looking for a slight adjustment like a side detail or colour change please send us a message and we will let you know if we can accommodate the request.

SHIPPING:

We typically need 2-3 weeks to handcraft your order prior to shipping.

We ship across the majority of Canada and the United States. We cannot ship to PO Box addresses due to our shipping provider being UPS.

We primarily ship with UPS. All orders will be fully tracked. If you require a signature release please send us a message prior to placing an order.

Absolutely! If you're local and are able to pick up your shelf in the Cowichan Bay area we have local pick up as an option at checkout. Once your shelf is built and ready for pickup we will send you a message to confirm a pick up day and time that works best with your schedule. Anyone who places an order for local pick up as an option and isn't local, your order will be cancelled as we will need to ship your item with our mail carriers at a cost.

PRODUCT INFORMATION:

Elite quality Canadian sourced SPF

All items are handcrafted by our family on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada

We currently use oil based stains but are slowly making the transition to water based stains. If you’re curious about what type of stain will be used on your shelf just send us a message for more info. All gloss finishes are done with a water based sealer.

All shelves are handcrafted and are done so on a made to order basis. Each piece of wood that we use will absorb the stain slightly different in terms of colour. We always do our best to showcase the stain colours in our imaging but there can be slight unavoidable shade differences in the final product.

Although damage is very rare, please send us a message with your name, order number and photos of the shelf / packaging to valleylivingdesigncs@gmail.com. We will use this information to process a claim with our shipping company to re-coup the shipping costs, that way we can send you out a replacement shelf. Do not throw out any of the packaging material until you hear from us - Failure to provide the images needed will result in no replacement shelf as the claim will be automatically denied. Typically once the claim is approved, it takes us 1-2 weeks to ship out your shelf.
